FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

We bring everything to you—including a pop-up spray tent to keep your space clean. After a quick consultation, your artist will:
Apply a prep spray.
Mist you with your customized tanning formula.
Dry (and dust you with our quick-dry finishing powder)
Each in-home session takes about 20–30 minutes (including setup and breakdown).
Our solutions are anti-aging, antioxidant-rich, and infused with pure botanicals. Most include a cosmetic bronzer (from walnut extract) along with DHA—a safe, plant-derived sugar that reacts with the skin’s surface to create a natural tan.
The process is mess-free, but the cosmetic bronzer may transfer before your first rinse. It washes out of most fabrics, though we recommend loose, dark clothing and avoiding silk, leather, or suede until after your first shower.

It really depends on the event—reach out and we’ll create a custom timeline for you. But as a rule of thumb, book your spray tan 1–2 days before your event or trip. This allows the tan to fully develop and look its freshest.
Weddings & big events: 2 days before
Vacations: 1–2 days before departure
Weekly glow: Anytime—just plan around showers, workouts, or waxing appointments
Tip: Always schedule waxing, shaving, manicures, or pedicures before your spray tan so nothing interferes with your color.
-
The best spray tan starts before your appointment! Prepping your skin properly ensures a flawless, long-lasting tan.
Before Your Session
Timing: Prep at least 24 hours before your spray tan.
Other services: Schedule manis, pedis, massages, waxing/sugaring, facials, or lash extensions at least 24 hours prior.
Shower, shave, and exfoliate the night before—NOT immediately before your session.
Exfoliation: Use gentle, non-abrasive exfoliants that dissolve dead skin cells. Avoid loofahs, salt, or sugar scrubs within 72 hours before your tan (they can scratch the skin).
Cleanse: Use a non-oil-based cleanser. Oils, heavy moisturizers, and perfume can block the tan from developing.
Clothing & accessories: Wear old underwear, a swimsuit, or go nude (men must wear bottoms). Remove all jewelry. We provide disposable bikinis if needed. Post-tan, wear dark, loose clothing and flip-flops or loose shoes. Avoid jeans, leggings, or tight bras.
Space requirements: Ensure you have a 6x6 ft area or similar for the spray tent setup with access to an electrical outlet.
Extra Prep Tips
Avoid sunburn—spray tanning over damaged skin won’t work and may create uneven results.
Lightly moisturize dry areas like knees and elbows before your session to prevent patchiness.
Remember: water is not your friend before your first shower. Avoid sweating, dishes, laundry, rain, or crying until your tan has set.

Most tans require waiting 8–12 hours before showering. Rapid tans allow you to rinse in as little as 2–4 hours. Your artist will guide you based on the solution used.

Yes! Our core brands are cruelty-free and vegan (or vegan-friendly). While they’re not 100% certified organic, we do use eco-certified, plant-derived DHA and skin-loving botanicals like aloe vera, cranberry extract, and green tea.
And let’s be real—there’s nothing “organic” about faking it… but at least your glow will look naturally flawless. If an organic tan is important to you, let us know and we’ll do our best to customize your solution.

Whatever you’re comfortable in! Some clients wear swimsuits, underwear, or go nude. Disposable undergarments can be provided upon request. Every body is a spray tan body!
